Details of Actress Mimi Orjiekwe’s alleged arrest over N700m fraud Kemi Olunloyo Reveals – Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has alleged that Nollywood actress, Mimi Orjiekwe has been allegedly arrested by the Nigerian police over N700m fraud.

In a post on her official Twitter handle, Kemi Olunloyo claimed that the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of Nigeria police in Ikoyi, Lagos State, has been arrested and detained for 700 million Naira fraud.

According to Kemi, embattled businessman, Michael Diongoli had filed a petition to the Ikoyi Law Enforcement Police Department to help locate and arrest Mimi, who had failed to keep to her contract of delivering interior decoration items.

She said, “Nollywood Actress and Big Girl Mimi Orjiekwe Has reportedly been Arrested and Detained By The Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Ikoyi, Lagos 🇳🇬With Possible Charge of Fraud to the tune of N700million naira.

Billionaire businessman Mr Micheal Diongoli. filed a petition to the Ikoyi law enforcement police department to help locate and arrest Mimi Orjiekwe, who was at large for not delivering the interior decoration items contract he gave her. A very common thing in Nigeria, you give celebrity money to execute a project they run away with it.”

In an updated post, she stated that Mimi had been finally arrested and has been detained in Ikoyi.

“Nollywood actress Mimi Orjiekwe accused of N700m fraud. Locked up and detained in Ikoyi, Lagos. Special Fraud Unit”.

Many Nollywood actresses have overtime been linked to the billionaire. The likes of BBNaija’s Nengi, Actress Onyi Alex, Nuella Njubigbo, and Mimi Orjiekwe have been attached to the businessman. Last year, the embattled billionaire was arrested over fraud.

In a report published by Punch, the police had arraigned the Ponzi scheme operator Michael Diongoli before a Federal High Court in Lagos State for allegedly defrauding a retired Army colonel, two professors, a co-operative society, among others of the sum of N1, 286, 580, 656. Diongoli faced eight counts of conspiracy, obtained by pretences and fraud.

The defendant was arraigned alongside his two firms, UK-Don Group and UK-Dion Investment Limited, before Justice Lewis-Allagoa. He was accused of defrauding his victims under the pretence of multiple returns on investment within six months to one year.
